• Principal Investigator of the "AMS" experiment (Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer) on the International Space Station.
• Thomas Dudley Cabot Professor of Physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
• He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1976 for the discovery of the CHARMED and ENIGMATIC J/Psi particle.
• The discovery of the J/Psi particle sparked the November Revolution (1974) in particle physics.
