Study plan

The standard time to cover the entire curriculum of this career is 8 semesters and you have up to double the time to finish it, because each student has the possibility to choose the pace at which he/she takes it, depending on his/her personal situation.

To cover the Informatics Engineering curriculum, 334 credits are required, organized in 4 modules:

  • The Information Systems module is made up of 6 courses and 5 seminars.  
  • The Information Technology Management module consists of 7 courses, 2 seminars and a project.
  • The Robust, Parallel and Distributed Systems module consists of 4 courses and a project.
  • The Softcomputing module consists of 7 courses, 2 seminars and a project.

In addition, you must earn at least 16 credits in the Selective Specialization area by taking subjects of your choice, related to the fields of mathematics, physics, electronics, computer science, chemistry or earth and life sciences; and at least 16 credits in the Open Elective area in the fields of social sciences, humanities, arts or liberal studies. To do so, you may enroll in any of the University Network University Centers that have space available in the subject of your choice.

You will have to prove your command of reading and comprehension of the English language, no later than the third semester, corresponding to level A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, or its equivalent.

Once you have accumulated 60% of your credits, you will enroll in the Social Service to cover 480 hours.

You will approve the degree through one of the current modalities.
