General Regulations for the Evaluation and Promotion of Students of the University of Guadalajara (UDG):

Purpose of the Regulations:
- The purpose of the regulation is to regulate the evaluation of the teaching-learning process of students, in accordance with the study plans taught at the UDG.
- It seeks that university authorities, academics and students have elements to know the efficiency and effectiveness of the educational process.
- It contributes to raise the quality of learning and to obtain testimony of the academic preparation of students.

Continuous and Integral Evaluation:
- School progress is made through continuous and integral evaluations.
- The evaluation considers knowledge, skills and competencies acquired during the learning process.

Grading Scale:
- Grades are expressed on a centesimal scale from 0 to 100, with 60 being the minimum passing grade.
- Subjects not subject to quantitative measurement are certified as accredited (A) or not accredited (NA).

Assessment Planning:
- Learning unit syllabi must contain assessment criteria.
- The academies define the evaluation criteria at the beginning of the school cycle, allowing variability in the evaluation schemes for each subject.

Transparency and Knowledge:
- Students should know the evaluation criteria at the beginning of the course.
- The criteria define aspects to be evaluated, grading percentages and evaluation moments.
