Study Plan

The standard time to complete the entire curriculum for this degree is 8 semesters and you have up to double the time to complete it. This is because each student has the possibility to choose the pace at which they take it, depending on their personal situation.

To complete the curriculum for the Computer Engineering degree, 334 credits are required, organized into 4 modules:

  • The Information Systems module is made up of 6 courses and 5 seminars.
  • The Information Technology Management module is made up of 7 courses, 2 seminars and a project.
  • The Robust, Parallel and Distributed Systems module is made up of 4 courses and a project.
  • The Flexible Computing (Softcomputing) module is made up of 7 courses, 2 seminars and a project.

You must also obtain at least 16 credits from the Selective Specialization area by taking subjects of your choice, related to the fields of mathematics, physics, electronics, computing, chemistry or earth and life sciences; and at least 16 credits from the Open Elective area in the fields of social sciences, humanities, arts or liberal studies. To do so, you can enroll in any of the University Centers of the University Network that have a place in the subject of your choice.

You must prove your command of reading comprehension of the English language, no later than the third semester, corresponding to level A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, or its equivalent.

After accumulating 60% of your credits, you will enroll in the Social Service to cover 480 hours.

You will pass the degree through one of the current modalities, which can be found on the Coordination's website (https://www.cucei.udg.mx/carreras/informatica/en/qualification).
