The social service is defined as a training and application of knowledge that is temporarily and compulsory for the students or interns of the University and institutions that provide educational programs with recognition of official validity of studies, for the benefit of the different sectors of the society.
The social service must integrate the two substantive functions, linking the university with the society and the sectors that integrate it in support to the solution of the problems that are presented, and at the same time to support the integral formation of the students. It is fundamental in the integral formation of the student, complements its formative stage by developing civic awareness, service and retribution to society, as well as being a way of feedback from the University itself.
